Rules-based Security Process Automation

Vigilos ESM Software enables automation of many common security processes that are typically performed by human operators. User can easily create rule to automatically execute a wide range of tasks, including:
Identifying circumstances that represent elevated-risk
Prioritizing alarm events based on pre-determined criteria
Notifying multiple personnel, including off-site individuals or even law enforcement
Steering multiple PTZ cameras to areas of interest
Locking or unlocking doors
Temporarily disarming alarm systems
Notifying technicians that a sensor battery is low
Identifying virtually any combination of circumstances, triggering actions by one or more controlled devices, and notifying unlimited numbers of individuals via a wide range of communications methods.

Users can easily create, add and modify rules "on the fly", without affecting the operating status of the Vigilos ESM system. All data from any attached system is evaluated in real-time against these user-defined rules. The rules define and categorize security information, escalating the status of certain activity to an "event," or incident. When an event occurs, the Vigilos software executes specific user-defined actions, and notifies assigned staff via phone, e-mail, pager or wireless device. Event information remains in the system for further evaluation, and each event has links to recorded and live video from any cameras that are associated with the trigger devices.

Of course, an audit trail of all user actions taken in response to events is captured, and several reporting options are built in.
