Vigilos and Hirsch Partner for Advanced Security Solutions
SEATTLE, Washington, 18-August, 2004 --
Hirsch Electronics, a leading provider of high security
access control systems, and Vigilos, Inc., a leading
provider of Enterprise Security Management (ESM) software
for the
physical security needs of large enterprises, announced
today they have entered into an agreement to jointly
develop and market new security management solutions. Under
the
agreement, Hirsch will share proprietary code, hardware
and technical support to enable Vigilos to develop
software to fully integrate, control, and program Hirsch
access
control panels through the Vigilos software interface.
Vigilos
will develop, and the companies will jointly market,
an extension of the Vigilos software that
leverages the capabilities of the time-tested Hirsch
hardware and firmware to address new challenges faced by
large enterprise
customers today. The Vigilos software integrates video
and other enterprise security data with activities associated
with the Hirsch system, making both video and access
control work in concert to improve security. The software
also
automates many tasks that currently require human operators,
and prioritizes and filters events to focus operators'
attention on the most critical situations.
